The last couple of days have been whirlwind, all great stuff, but the days have been full. Yesterday Ethan and I had fun shopping for our little guy Francis who told us in a serious voice this evening "Santa gets everything on your wish list"...oh oh...Santa will do his best!! Last night we had a wonderful evening catching up with friends Doug and Savanna, and some friends of theirs. We had a potluck and it was perfect! I am always amazed when all the dishes complement each other! Perfect! This morning I had kind of a hangover from running around all day/night yesterday. Let's just say I was having one of those days - as in - "some days are like that - even in Australia" * (in my case of course they are I'm from Australia, if I wasn't here, I'd be there having one of those days!!). I was definitely feeling tired, but also frustrated by the clutter in our small home, the same home that is also a work space and which currently has a life-sized longhorn cow in the living room!! It has actually worked out rather well, but we moved the work station to the living room so that we can have a cozy lounge area with the Christmas tree. That meant there was stuff everywhere and it was a mess. So, when all was quiet this evening, I just got to work and puttered. This evening I am grateful for the quiet peace of our little home. It feels just right! And now I'm ready for bed!
