Interwoven Community Weaving Project                          Rosewood Zaragosa Neighborhood Center
Interwoven Community Weaving was a collaborative art project. Together the community created woven artworks through a series of four workshops held in October at Rosewood Zaragosa Neighborhood Center. We explored weaving on looms of various shapes and sizes. We used materials including batik fabric, wool & yarn, straw and t-shirts. The artworks created during the workshops were on display for East Austin Studio Tour, 2017.

This project was supported in part by the Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin Economic Development Department. It was also supported by Awesome Foundation Austin and Bread for the Journey of Austin.
Special thanks to Rosewood Zaragosa Neighborhood Center for hosting this project!
